What are your hours?

Grooming hours are daily 9am to 4pm

Dog Daycare hours are daily 6am to 6pm

Do you do take walk-in appointments?

For grooming it will depend on the type of groom required.

Daycare services may be able to accommodate depending on current capacity.

Do you do mobile appointments?

Services are provided at the Spaw only (some exceptions may apply).

What can I do to prepare my pet for its grooming appointment?

Avoid feeding your pet at least an hour before your appointment giving them a chance to do ALL its potty business. You can brush your pet the night before to get any tangles out as best you can.

Can I bring toys and food for my pet to the grooming Spaw?

No, your pet will be at the Spaw for a short amount of time getting pampered. Food could also cause an upset tummy when stressed.

Why does my dog need a daycare evaluation?

Safety is our absolute top priority. By carefully evaluating every dog before they enroll in our services, we can ensure we maintain a safe environment for them. Daycare is a new situation and environment for some dogs, and we want to ensure we are a good fit for them both physically and mentally. We will always prioritize your dog first, and this “trial run” has proven to reduce stress for the dogs and provide peace of mind for our clients. We also always promise to be transparent and let you know if we do not feel we are a good fit for your dog.

How do I know which grooming service to pick?

If your dog has thick hair and that would take a long time to dry choose a full groom.

Does my pet get potty breaks at the Spaw?

Please give your pet a potty break before the appointment. Your pet’s appointment should not take more than 3 hours, if it has a medical condition that makes it urinate more often let me know so I can accommodate.

What type of payment do you accept??

We accept cash, debit, credit, google, and apple pay.

Does my pet go into a cage?

Your pets go directly into the Spaw without being crated. In the event another pet family is still at the Spaw when you arrive your pet may be crated for a short time.

What if my pet is very nervous or a senior?

I take my time with each and every pet and are more than willing to take your pets special needs into consideration.

How often should my pet be groomed?

I recommend every 6 – 8 weeks for a full body hair cut and or 5 weeks for a bath and tidy. Dogs that are groomed on a regular basis are more relaxed and their coat and skin are kept in top condition.

Can I stay with my pet during their grooming?

Much like young children, pets are usually better behaved for strangers than their own parents. I do have a viewing window if it would make you feel more comfortable to watch for their first time.
